This training is intended for:

· Coast Guard Auxiliarists,

· State boating agency education, outreach and enforcement  specialists (including Boating Law Administrators),

· State park employees involved in paddlesports, 

· Active duty and civilian Coasties involved in recreational boating safety, and

· Others with a strong interest in paddler safety. 

All participants must complete an application, including a short description of how they plan to use this training to promote paddler safety. Applications will be considered in the order that they are received, so it is important to get your application in early.

Strong paddling experience is not a pre-requisite to attend, as there are separate tracks for beginners all the way up to current ACA Instructors.  Applicants accepted into the program will be charged a $125 registration fee, and must join the American Canoe Association (ACA) if they are not already members of the ACA. Annual ACA dues are $40.
